2014年1月30日，NUCL-X课题组博士研究生刘云鹏等人的论文《Optimization and temperature effects on sandwich betavoltaic microbattery》、硕士研究生杨雅慧等人的论文《A molecular dynamics-based comparison of defect production in collision cascades during the bombardment of iron with different ions》在SCI期刊《SCIENCE CHINA Technological Sciences》（2014 Vol. 57 No. 1）上正式发表。这两篇论文双双被列为本期杂志的Special Topic，同时也是NUCL-X课题组2014年新发表的头两篇学术论文，为课题组2014年科研工作开了一个好头。
